Ultraviolence is a dark and atmospheric exploration of love, heartbreak, obsession and destructive relationships, blending psychedelic rock, dream pop, blues and alternative rock. Originally released in 2014 and produced primarily alongside Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, the album features standout tracks including “West Coast”, “Shades of Cool”, “Brooklyn Baby”, “Ultraviolence” and “Black Beauty”. With its haunting vocals, guitar-driven arrangements and melancholic atmosphere, Ultraviolence marked a bold departure from the orchestral pop of Born to Die, becoming one of the most distinctive and celebrated releases in Lana's discography.
